Mubasher: The stock of Kuwait Food – Americana has officially withdrawn from Boursa Kuwait on Monday, 23 April 2018, after it being listed for the past 34 years.
On Sunday, 22 April, Boursa Kuwait announced the official delisting date of Americana which is one of the largest companies in the food industries sector in the Arab world.
Americana was founded in 1963, while it was listed on Boursa Kuwait late in 1984.
This Kuwaiti company runs its business in 20 countries with more than 60,000 employees.
Americana’s capital stands at KWD 40.2 million distributed on 402 million shares at a par value of 100 fils each. Currently, Adeptio AD Investments owns the largest stake of 93.4% in Americana.
In June 2017, the ordinary general meeting (OGM) of Americana had approved the board’s recommendation to withdraw from Boursa Kuwait.
