Kuwait – Mubasher: Americana recorded a growth of 31.3% in profits of the second quarter this year as compared to the same period in 2015.
Earnings grew to KWD 9.03 million ($29.87 million) in Q2-16 from KWD 6.88 million ($22.76 million) in Q2-15, Americana said in a bourse filing issued Monday.
During the first half of 2016, profits saw a slight fall of 0.1% to KWD 24.19 million versus KWD 24.22 million in H1-15.
The decline in H1 profits was due to lower operating profits from the Ramadan seasonality, the company clarified.
Americana stock ended Monday’s session at KWD 2.48 after 80,800 shares were traded at a value of KWD 199,000.
