Amman bourse continues fall; 0.32% down

Mubasher: Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) main index plummeted by 0.32% or 6.45 points, closing Wednesday at 1,994.59 points..

Trading value slipped to JOD 3.5 million, versus JOD 5.8 million yesterday. Also, trading volume dropped to 4.7 million shares exchanged through 4,700 trades.

ASE sectors continued their collective fall, as the financial activity saw a 0.36% decrease, followed by a drop of 0.32% and 0.31% in the services and industrial sectors, respectively.

The main index was negatively affected by the fall in prices of 50 shares out of 119 companies, while 22 other shares moved up.

Jordanian Expatriates Investment Holding led the losers with a drop of 7.35% to JOD 0.63, followed by Al-amal Financial Investments with a fall of 0.6% to JOD 0.67.

Meanwhile, Arab Union International Insurance and the Consultant and Investment Group topped the risers with increases of 4.90% and 4.69%, respectively.

ASE closed Tuesday with a fall 0.45 or 9.08 points to 2,001.04 points.
