Amman bourse falls 9.6% at close; all sectors down

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) main index closed Monday dipping 0.46% or 9.64 points to 2,101.77 points.

Turnover declined to JOD 7.3 million from JOD 7.9 million yesterday, trading volume reached 8.1 million shares through 4,020 trades.

The bourse’s main sectors closed down collectively, led by services and industrial sectors by 0.92% and 0.5%.

Out of 128 companies, 54 shares closed in green and 30 finished trading in red.

Petra Education Company was worst performing share as it shrank by 5.74%, while Amad Investment and Real Estate Development was the best performer with a growth of 6.83%.

The benchmark index plummeted yesterday 0.48% or 10.26 points to 2,111.41 points.
