Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed Wednesday in red as the main index inched down 0.01% or 0.11 point to 2,117.58 points.
Turnover declined to JOD 9.3 million from JOD 11.3 million yesterday. Trading volume came to 12.2 million shares through 5,160 trades.
The industrial and financial sectors declined by 0.2% and 0.03% respectively, while services was up 0.26%.
The index was affected by the decreasing prices of 47 shares, out of 126, 49 others closed in red.
Middle East Specialized Cables and Jordan Insurance were the worst performers as they dropped by 6.25% and 4.98%, respectively.
Meanwhile, Arab Company for Investment Projects and Arab International Hotels were the top gainers after surging 6.25% and 6.02%, respectively.
The benchmark index closed Tuesday with a rise of 0.12% or 2.64 points to the level of 2,117.58 points.
