Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s main index rose 0.02% or 5.11 points on Wednesday, reaching the level of 1,999.24 points.
Trading value fell to JOD 4 million, versus JOD 4.9 million yesterday. While trading volume increase to 4.4 million shares exchanged in 2,940 trades.
The financial and services sectors leapt 0.26% and 0.23% respectively, while the industrial closed alone in the red zone with a 0.04% decrease.
The index was supported by the higher prices of 44 shares, out of 115 companies, while 27 others closed down.
Al-amal Financial Investments and Contempro for Housing Projects topped the gainers with increases of 7.14% and 6.90% respectively, while Arab Company for Investment Projects and Islamic Insurance led the losers with falls of 7.14% and 5.71%.
ASE benchmark index rose yesterday by 0.02% or 0.41 point to 1,994.13 points.
