Amman’s bourse back to green; 13 points up

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) main index edged up 0.62% or 12.99 points to the level of 2,113.12 points on Tuesday.

Trading value came to JOD 8.8 million through 4,320 trades on 9.7 million shares.

The financial and services sectors rose 0.73% and 0.63%, respectively, while the industrial sector declined by 0.25%.

The index was backed by stronger 58 shares, out of 123 companies saw trading, while 31 others closed lower.

The United Iron and Steel Manufacturing share was the strongest as it grew 5.00% higher, followed by Jordanian Expatriates Investment Holding with a 4.92% increase.

Meanwhile, Comprehensive Multiple Project and Jordan Decapolis Properties were the top losers after declining by 4.91% and 4.69%, respectively.

The benchmark index closed yesterday with a drop of 0.82% or 17.37 points to 2,100.13 points.
