Amman’s index gains 31 points at close

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s main index closed Tuesday in green, as it advanced 1.51% or 31.4 points to 2,116.26 points.

Trading value reached JOD 22.9 million through 5,000 trades on 22.7 million shares.

ASE’s main sectors moved up collectively, headed by financial, services and industrial sectors with 1.59%, 1.15% and 1.05% respectively.

The index was supported by the high performance of 60 shares, out of 133 companies, while 39 others closed down.

Middle East Specialized Cables Company and Cairo Amman Bank topped the gainers with a rise of 7.69% and7.39% respectively, while Resources Company for Development and Investment topped the losers with 7.14% lower, followed by Al-Manara Insurance with a 4.76% decrease.

ASE’s main index closed Monday with a decline of 0.03% or 0.64 points to 2,084.86 points.
