Amman’s index rises 0.42%, enters 10th green day

Mubasher: Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) main index ended Monday’s trading at the level of 2,080.13 points after rising 0.42% or 8.77 points, entering the 10th consecutive day in the green territory.  

Trading value rose to JOD 10.6 million compared to JOD 5.9 million yesterday, while trading volume reached 6.8 million shares exchanged in 3,970 trades.

ASE sectors were headed by the services which advanced 1.17%, followed by the financial with a rise of 0.16%, whereas the industrial dropped alone with a 0.05% decrease.

The index was supported by the high performance of 40 shares, out of 116 companies, and 35 other shares closed down.

Al-amal Financial Investments led the risers with a rise of 7.14%, followed by Middle East Specialized Cables with an increase of 6.67%.

However, International for Medical Investment topped the decliners after falling 4.94%, followed by Salam International Transport and Trading by 4.76%.

ASE benchmark index closed yesterday at 2,071.36 points, with a rise of 0.56% or 11.57 points.
