Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s main index closed Thursday at the level of 2,083.13 points after rising 0.05% or 1.08 points.
Trading value dropped to JOD 5.1 million, versus JOD 6.3 million yesterday, while trading volume rose to 6.1 million shares exchanged through 3,600 trades.
The industrial sector topped the gainers after advancing 0.2%, followed by the financial sector which grew 0.17% higher, while services closed 0.19% lower.
The index was supported by the positive performance by 54 shares, out of 123 companies, whereas 30 others moved down.
Resources Company for Development and Investment was the best performer with an increase of 8.33%, followed by Industrial Commercial & Agriculture with a growth of 5.2%.
Meanwhile, Jordan Poultry Processing and Marketing was the weakest share with a decrease of 4.76% to JOD 0.8, followed by International for Medical Investment after moving 4.6% down.
ASE’s main index closed Wednesday with a drop of 0.33% or 5.01 points to 2,082.05 points.
