Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s main index dropped 0.18% or 3.71 points to 2,086.83 points on Monday.
Trading value rose to JOD 10 million versus JOD 7 million yesterday. Trading volume hit 9.3 million shares exchanged in 4,250 trades.
The industrial sector fell 0.95%, followed by services with 0.19%, while the financial sector was the sole winner after adding 0.13%.
The index was negatively affected by the falling prices of 53 shares, out of 127, while 43 others closed at higher rates.
Amad Investment and El-zay Ready Wear Manufacturing topped the gainers as they increased 5% and 4.76% respectively. Meanwhile, Resources Company for Development and Investment led the losers after falling 7.14%, followed by South Electronics which shed 5.56%.
The index closed yesterday at 2,090.54 points after increasing 0.36%.
