Amman’s market edges up 0.12% at close

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) main index closed Monday at the level of 2,114.94 points after rising 0.12% or 2.52 points.

Turnover declined to JOD 7.5 million, as 8.5 shares exchanged through 4,460 trades.

Services and financial sectors rose 0.68% and 0.05% respectively, while the industrial fell 0.37%.

The index was supported by the increasing prices of 48 shares, out of 119 companies, 36 others dropped.

Amad Investment and Real Estate Development topped gainers with 7.09% higher, followed by National Aluminium Industrial with a growth of 6.78%.

Meanwhile, Middle East Specialized Cables and Arab East Investment led decliners with 5.88% and 5.00% respectively.

The benchmark index hiked on Sunday by 0.24% or 5.01 points to 2,112.42points.
