Amman stocks close lower 0.3%

Mubasher: Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Wednesday’s trading session on a lower note as the benchmark lost 6.37 points or 0.3% to 2,114.41 points.

Trading value dropped to JOD7.4 million from JOD6.1 million, while trading volume reached 8.2 million shares traded over 3,970 transactions.

Sector-wise, all sectors saw a slide as the industrial, financial and service sectors slipped 0.33%, 0.29%, and 0.15% respectively.

Out of 121 companies exchanged today, 46 went down and 37 moved up.

Tracking the stock movement, the worst decliners were headed by Resources Company for Development and Investment (-6.66%) and followed by Ready Mix Concrete and Construction Supplies (-5.98%) as well as National Oil and Electricity Production from Oil Shale (-4.54%).

Meanwhile, Union Land Development was the best advancer today as its stock rose 4.63%.
