Cairo – Mubasher: Amreya Petroleum Refining Company (APRC) has refined around 3.6 million tonnes of crude during the fiscal year (FY) 2019/2020, contributing 15% of total refining capacities in Egypt, the firm’s head, Ali Badr, said on Sunday.
APRC provided many petroleum products most notably, diesel, petrol, kerosene, mazut, alkylbenzene, as well as oils and special products, according to a statement by the petroleum ministry.
Badr noted that total investments implemented during FY19/20 reached EGP 219 million.
The announcement was made on the sidelines of the ordinary general meetings (OGMs) of APRC and other companies, chaired by the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla, to approve FY19/20 financial statements.
El-Molla stressed the importance of completing the development of the refining and manufacturing system to meet the local demand for petroleum products and committing to environmental compatibility.
