Cairo – Mubasher: Arab Bridge Maritime reported net profits of $5.3 million in 2019, rising by 10.54% year-on-year from $4.8 million.
This came during the company’s general meeting headed by the Egyptian minister of transport Kamel El-Wazir, according to a statement on Sunday.
The company’s shareholders approved a cash dividend of $4.5 million to be distributed among the company’s founders: the governments of Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq.
The profit growth was supported by the leasing of Amman steamboat in the European market, amending and fixing shipping prices, and higher shipping traffic in the Aqaba-Noweiba line.
