Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has seen an upward trend early Monday on the back of Arab buying.
By 10:29 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 8.36 points, or 0.05%, to 17,192.38 points.
The EGX70 index edged up 0.28% to 857.9 points, and the EGX100 index added 0.22% to 2,204 points.
Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.29% to 2,949 points.
Trading volume stood at nearly 16.3 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 64.9 million through 2,040 transactions.
Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 5.4 million, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 576,400 and EGP 4.8 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) inched up 0.07% to EGP 88.3, with a turnover of EGP 404,100.
