Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) have fallen slightly early Sunday, pressured by Arab investors’ selloff.
By 10:26 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched down 8 points, or 0.05%, to 14,983.34 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index dipped 0.04% to 697.69 points, while the broader EGX100 index slipped 0.05% to 1,770 points.
Similarly, the equal-weighted EGX50 index inched down 0.02%t to 2,453 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 4.9 million shares exchanged with a turnover of EGP 27.45 million through 1,120 transactions.
Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 1.33 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 1.27 million and EGP 63,020, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) edged down 0.04% to EGP 69.5.
