Arab stock markets close on Prophet’s birthday

Cairo-Mubasher: Arab stock markets suspended their trading activity on Wednesday, 23 December, while other markets postponed the suspension to Thursday, 24 December, on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.

The stock markets of Egypt, Bahrain, and Iraq closed on Wednesday and resumed trading activity on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the bourses of UAE, Kuwait, Oman, and Jordan suspended trading on Thursday, and will restart activity on Sunday, 27 December.
