Arabian Centres launches three cinemas, expects 13 more within year

Riyadh – Mubasher: Arabian Centres Company announced the launch of three new cinema complexes at its shopping centres in August and expected 13 additional cineplexes to be launched till August 2021.

The first cinema theatre was opened in Jubail Mall to be the first cineplex being opened in the city, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.

The new complex includes five screens with 440 seats over a total area of 1,742 square metres (sqm).

Covering an area of 2,865 sqm, the second cineplex, opened at Ahsa Mall in Al Hofuf City, is the first ever cineplex in Al Ahsa Governorate. It includes eight screens with 910 seats.

In addition, the third cinema complex, spanning over 2,452 sqm, was launched at Haifa Mall in Jeddah and is the second cineplex within the company’s portfolio in the city. The complex includes nine screens with 830 seats.

All the three cineplexes will be currently running at 50% capacity in line with the company’s health and safety measures.

The three complexes mark the fifth, sixth, and seventh cinemas launched at the company’s locations after the first four cineplexes launched at Mall of Arabia in Jeddah, Hamra Mall in Riyadh, Nakheel Mall in Dammam, and U-Walk in Riyadh.
