Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) reversed the downward trend it witnessed in early trades on Wednesday, backed by the rise of Arabtec Holding, du and Dubai Investments, overshadowing the losses of Emaar Properties and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB).
Turnover declined to AED 373.25 million ($101.6 million) on Wednesday, compared to AED 526.3 million ($143.3 million) on Tuesday. Trading volume decreased to 233.1 million shares, compared to 379.2 million shares.
The telecom sector rose 3.54% after du went up 3.54% to AED 5.85.
The investment sector gained 0.82% as Dubai Investments increased 1.16%. Meanwhile, DFM Company remained unchanged.
The real estate sector recovered 0.37% as Arabtec Holding and Emaar Malls levelled up 0.87% and 4.13% in a row. However, Emaar Properties slid 0.97%.
On the flipside, the banks declined 0.17% as Dubai Isalmic Bank fell 0.34%.
