Arabtec unit wins projects worth AED 289m

Dubai – Mubasher: Arabtec Holding on Wednesday announced that its subsidiary, Target Engineering Construction Company, has won four projects at a value of AED 289 million.

The projects include the removal of a temporary cofferdam and revetment construction in the western region, as well as developing a building in Dubai’s Business Bay, Arabtec revealed.

The rest of the projects involve the design, supply, and installation to develop the electric distribution plants in Das Island, in addition to the fabrication and installation of Duplex/SS process tanks in Al Taweelah area in Abu Dhabi, a statement by the company showed.

“Target, together with the group’s other operating entities, demonstrates our integrated capabilities but also our core strength, giving us the ability to pursue a broad range of projects. We continue to focus on the UAE as our core market and are optimistic on the outlook of the sector,” commented Arabtec Group CEO Hamish Tyrwhitt.

On Tuesday, Arabtec said it was awarded an AED 353 million contract from Abu Dhabi National Media Council to build the UAE Pavilion at the Expo 2020.

On Monday, the Dubai-listed construction company stated that its wholly owned subsidiary Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co (EFECO) entered into a contract with Al Naboodah Co for an AED 113 million project in Dubai Creek.
