Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's oil giant Aramco has awarded three contracts at a total value of $4.5 billion to Mofarreh Marzouq Al-Harbi & Partners Company Limited (MMAH) for developing ‘Al Hawiyah’ and ‘Haradh’ fields.
The new contracts are part of the company’s scheme for gas-processing facilities, which aims to upgrade gas output and its sustainability at the two fields, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.
Under the deal, MMAH will implement gas pressure facilities, liquid separation plants, new pipelines at the two fields, as well as expanding the existing natural gas grid.
The expansion of Al Hawiyah gas plant will include building new facilities for processing 1,070 billion cubic feet of gas per day. The development also will increase overall gas flow from Haradh field to 290 million cubic feet per day, the company said, giving no further details on the schedule of the projects.
The state-owned oil giant has recently signed a slew of agreements with large oilfield services companies in a bid to boost energy sustainability, diversify the economy and ramp up oil and gas production.
