Aramco inks 18 MoUs with Turkish firms

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Aramco signed 18 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with a number of Turkish companies on Tuesday.

The firms are specialized in generating electricity, building and operating airports, construction works in the petroleum sector and road building.

The MoUs will promote the commercial and economic cooperation between the Kingdom and Turkey, which is being reflected on the increase of the intra trade and investments between the two countries.

The agreements will also enhance the infrastructure of the Kingdom towards achieving Saudi Vision 2030, according to the company’s statement.

Aramco is moving forward to duplicate the local content of goods and services related to the energy sector to 70% by 2021, Amin Nasser, is the president and CEO of Aramco, said.

Nasser added that the agreements’ projects include Medina Airport, Riyadh water grid, Jubail railways network and the residential facilities of Yanbu industrial city.
