Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Oil Co, known internationally as Saudi Aramco is holding discussions with some Indian refining firms, aiming to launch a joint venture (JV) in 2018, Reuters on Monday reported, citing Aramco’s CEO Amin Nasser as saying.
Aramco plans to invest in India’s downstream activities sector, that includes refining, petrochemicals and retail fuel sales, including oil, the CEO noted.
The world’s largest oil provider will raise the number of its employees in India by four times in the coming period, compared to the current number.
On Sunday, the Indian government stated that Aramco launched a JV near the capital New Delhi.
