Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) said that its Wasit Gas Plant, which is the company’s newest plant, helped the company to reach the highest levels of natural gas processing.
Wasit Gas Plant will contribute in reducing Saudi Arabia’s dependence on liquid fuels for power generation, which will increase the Kingdom’s exports of Oil and value-added products, the firm added on its official account on Twitter.
“Growing supplies of cleaner burning natural gas helps reduce domestic reliance on liquid fuels for power generation, enabling increased liquids exports, and provides feedstock to petrochemical industries, spurring regional development, job creation, and demand,” Aramco continued.
Aramco noted that more than 40% of its non-associated gas comes from offshore fields such as the Arabiyah and Hasbah fields, which feed the Wasit Gas Plant.
