Aramco receives 7 offers to expand Hawiyah plant – Reuters

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Oil Co, known internationally as Saudi Aramco, received offers from global companies to expand the Hawiyah gas plant, sources in the oil and gas sectors on Wednesday told Reuters.

The firms, which submitted their bids on Sunday, were Samsung Engineering in South Korea, the Spanish company Tecnicas Reunidas, Taiwan-based CTCI, the Italian firm Saipem, the British company Petrofac, and India-based Larsen & Toubro (L&T), according to Reuters.

The South Korean Hyundai Engineering and Hyundai Development Co Engineering & Construction (HDEC) submitted a joint offer.

The largest international oil company plans to expand Hawiyah’s processing capacity by 1.3 billion standard cubic feet per day (SCFD), as it currently processes 2.5 billion SCFD of gas.
