Aramco to spend over SAR 1trln on IKTVA programme

Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Aramco, the state-owned energy giant , will spend more than SAR 1 trillion on the In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) programme over the next 10 years, said the company’s president and CEO  Amin Nasser.

The programme is aimed at increasing investment, economic diversification, job creation and work force development within Saudi Arabia.

“IKTVA is a step-change in our commitment to local content development that is now required across our domestic and international supply chain," Nasser said.

He added that his company plans to double the amount of locally-made goods and energy-related services to account for 70% of its supply chain by 2021.
