Dubai - Mubasher: Dubai-based courier Aramex on Monday posted a 25% increase in net profit, registering AED 165 million in the fourth quarter of 2017, in comparison with AED 131.8 million in the year-ago period.
The company’s revenue soared 14% to AED 1.32 billion during the three-month period ended 30 December 2017 against AED 1.158 billion in Q4-16, according to a filing to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
The DFM-listed company’s net profit reached AED 435.4 million during 2017, compared to AED 426.6 million a year earlier, the firm’s data showed.
Operating profit of the international logistics and transportation company registered AED 553.5 million in the last four quarters versus AED 521.5 million in 2016, the company said in a statement.
Aramex’s revenue grew 9% to AED 4.72 billion last year from AED 4.34 billion a year earlier.
