Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Arkan Building Materials Company posted on Sunday a net profit of AED 101.1 million in 2015, 26% up from AED 80 million in 2014.
The company’s financial statements also showed a 19.6% decline in net profit of the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015 to AED 20.1 million, against AED 25 million in the same period of 2014.
Arkan attributed the rise in annual profit to higher sales volume, improved operational efficiency in business unites and renegotiating on suitable terms for supply contracts and financing facilities.
Net profit margin improved by 7.6% year-on-year to 11.3%.
The company’s revenues rose 17% to AED 876.9 million last year, compared to AED 758 million in 2014.
Arkan also recorded an increase in export sales, especially in GCC countries, Africa and Asia.
