Armenia to launch flight line with Egypt, raise tourists – Sargsyan

Cairo – Mubasher: Armenia plans to launch a direct flight line with Cairo, and to increase the number of Armenian tourists to Egypt, Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan said.

Armenia plans to collaborate with Egypt in the fields of information technology and the pharmaceutical industry, Sargsyan added on the sidelines of his meeting with Egypt’s Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr.

Egypt and Armenia plan to cooperate in investing in the agricultural, industrial, touristic, and information technology fields, Nasr added.

Some Egyptian firms are investing in Armenia, Sargsyan noted.

Armenia will help Egypt to join the Eurasian Union, Armenia Prime Minister (PM) Karen Karapetyan said.

Nasr met with Suren Karayan, the Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments to discuss increasing the Armenian companies’ investments in Egypt, which amount to 23 firms.
