Mubasher: Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced that it has finalised the construction of more than 10 mosques for the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) during the second half of 2017.
Built in various areas across the world's richest country per capita, the total cost of the projects reached QAR 60 million, Abdul Hakim Ahmed Al-Hashemi, head of public project section, said.
These areas include Eastern Al Murra, Umm Al Seneem, Al Wakra, Muaither, Al Rayyan, Fereej Bin Abdulaziz, Fereej Bin Mahmoud, Old Al Ghanim, Al Rufaa and Al Maamoura.
The mosques were built of two or three levels to accommodate from 500 to 3000 prayers.
