Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.50% to 3,455 points. Hang Seng moved 0.45% lower.
India's SENSEX Index rose 0.85%, while Singapore index slid 0.29%. Asia Dow index added 0.05%, and Nikkei hit its lowest in five weeks.
