Mubasher: Asian stocks closed Tuesday on a mixed note as yields on Japan's benchmark 10-year government bond fell below zero for the first time.
At 8:11GMT, Singapore index rose 2.52% to 2,623, while Asia Dow dropped 2% to 2,465.
SENSEX Index also slid 1% to 24,050.
Japan's machinery orders declined 17.2% in January, compared with 25.8% in the previous month.
China bourse is closed today on Chinese New Year.
