Cairo – Mubasher: Misr National Steel (Ataqa) on Monday reported a net profit of EGP 174.9 million for 2018, compared to EGP 169.24 million in 2017, according to a bourse filing.
Ataqa previously posted a net profit of EGP 187.3 million for the first nine-month period of 2018, versus EGP 92.3 million in the corresponding period of 2017.
In the same vein, Ataqa’s board of directors has decided to raise the company’s issued capital to EGP 600 million from EGP 300 million through the distribution of bonus shares at EGP 1 per share, the company added in a separate statement.
In January, Ataqa’s extraordinary general meeting (EGM) had approved to split the nominal value of the stock.
In December, the company’s board had approved to split the nominal value of the share to EGP 0.5, instead of EGP 5.
