Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Oil Co, known globally as Saudi Aramco, on Sunday has awarded Azmeel Contracting Company a contract to establish three facilities as part of the firm’s gas compression programme in Haradh and Hawiyah fields.
“We constantly work towards achieving Saudi Aramco’s goals and objectives in natural gas production to diversify the Kingdom’s energy mix and to make cleaner energy resources available,” Aramco’s vice president for Project Management Fahad Al-Helal said.
“Today’s contract is aligned to that aspiration as we endeavour to add strategic value to Saudi Arabia’s hydrocarbon resources,” Al-Helal added.
This large project will contribute to enhancing the rise in Haradh's gas production by more than one billion cubic feet per day.
“We are glad that a local company is involved in the execution of this major project, in tandem with Saudi Aramco’s In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) initiative,” Al-Helal added.
No further details about the value of the contract were provided.
