Cairo - Mubasher: B Investments Holding signed definitive agreements to acquire a minority stake in the European Universities in Egypt (EUE) for a total amount of EGP 560 million, according to a bourse filing.

The EGX-listed firm will inject the investments through a capital increase, utilizing the proceeds to expand student capacity, supporting EUE’s continued growth plans.

Hazem Barakat, Chairman of B Investments, commented: “This transaction marks an important milestone for B Investments as we enter and support the Egyptian education market. EUE’s strong positioning, combined with its ambitious growth plans, makes this a compelling investment opportunity.”

Mahmoud Hashem Abdelkader, Founder of EUE, added: “Together, we aim to accelerate our growth and further enhance the student experience across our campuses.”

Meanwhile, the transaction is subject to obtaining customary regulatory approvals.

In February, Travco Group International increased its shareholding in the EGX-listed firm to 10.01% from 9.99% through an EGP 942,750 transaction.
