BHB closes Sunday in red zone

Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Bahrain Bourse (BHB) closed Sunday’s trading session 0.48% or 6.37 points lower at 1,324.85 points.

The market’s trading value stood at about BHD 555,930 after 1.94 million shares were exchanged.

The commercial banks segment lost 1.40%, dragged by AUB which fell by 2.9%.

Meanwhile, the insurance sector gained 2.45%, after Bahrain National Holding topped the winners with an 8.3% rise.

AUB was the most active stock on which 1.42 million shares were exchanged at a value of about BHD 966,500.
