BHB closes Thursday in red zone

Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Bahrain Bourse (BHB) closed Thursday’s session 0.03% or 0.44 points lower at 1,312.96 points.

The market’s trading value shrank to about BHD 519,450 on Thursday from around BHD 617,930 in the previous session, after the trading volume decreased to 1.42 million shares from 1.63 million.

The banks segment was the only decliner with 0.17%, dragged by Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait which lost 1.52%.

Meanwhile, the industrial sector gained 0.43%, on the back of Alba which levelled up 0.44%.

AUB was the most active stock on which about 368,900 shares were traded at a value of around BHD 252,700.
