Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse (BHB) closed Monday’s trading in red, (after) ending a string of four rises in a row.
The benchmark index declined 0.53% or 6.15 points to the level of 1,163.10 points. Bahrain Islamic Index also fell 0.94% or 7.20 points to 755.51 points.
Trading volume increased to 1.8 million shares from 1.6 million shares exchanged on Sunday.
Turnover, however, decreased to BHD 704,500 ($1.87 million) from BHD 966,180 ($2.56 million).
The investment sector was the worst performer as it slipped 0.9%, led down by GFH which lost 8.3%.
The banks sector dropped 0.7% as Al Salam Bank and AUB slid 2.17% and 1.4% respectively.
Meanwhile, the insurance and hotels, and tourism sectors stood at the same rates. The service sector grew 0.36% as Nass Corporation and Batelco rose 2.04% and 0.65% respectively.
