Mubasher: The main index of Bahrain Bourse (BHB) went down 0.58% or 7.77 points to reach 1,341.54 points by the week ended 3 March on the fall of three segments.
During this week, the banks sector retreated by 1.6%, followed by the hotel and tourism sector as well as the services segment which lost 0.53% and 1.59%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the industrial and investment sectors gained 2.8% and 1.2%, respectively.
Nass Corporation was the top loser this week with a drop of 22.22%, followed by Ithmaar Holding and Bahrain Islamic Bank which fell by 10% and 2.22%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the top winners were UGB, BBK, and Alba with a growth of 7.18%, 4.19%, and 2.86% respectively.
Ithmaar Holding was the most active stock on which 11.89 million shares were traded.
AUB recorded the highest trading value of BHD 1.02 million.
BHB’s trading value grew by 8.76% to total BHD 4.04 million this week from BHD 3.72 million in the past week, after trading volume increased by 23.49% to 23 million shares from 18 million in the prior week.
