Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse’s (BHB) benchmark index grew 0.53% or 6.14 points to settle at 1,171.63 points by the end of this week, posting its first weekly gain since the beginning of 2016.
Meanwhile, Bahrain Islamic index lost 1.6% or 12.3 points to close at 751.17 points.
Over the week, liquidity increased to BHD 1.08 million as compared to around BHD 748,560 in the past week. Trading volume reached 5.6 million shares as compared to 3.9 million.
The banks sector gained 2.7%, after AUB and Khaleeji Commercial ended the week higher 4.84% and 1.6%, respectively.
The investment sector inched up by 0.25% after GFH settled at 3.6% by the end of the week.
The industrial sector lost 2.16%, as Alba retreated by 2.24%. Also, the services sector dropped 3.8% in line with Zain falling by 5.8% by the end of the week.
