BHB index closes Wednesday lower

Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Bahrain Bourse (BHB) retreated 0.03% or 0.45 points to close Wednesday’s session at 1,327.03 points.

The banks segment levelled down 0.34%, dragged by Khaleeji Commercial Bank which lost 3.19%.

The services sector also went down 0.09%, in line with the 2.86% fall of Nass Corporation.

The market’s liquidity grew to BHD 1.36 million on Wednesday from about BHD 765,130 in the previous session, as the trading volume increased to 4.1 million shares from 1.79 million.
