BHB rallies back to gains

Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse’s (BHB) main index swung to the green territory on Wednesday, backed by both the banks and services sectors.

The benchmark index inched up 0.21% or 2.56 points to reach 1,204.98 points, in line with Bahrain Islamic index which grew 0.21% or 1.74 points to close at 808.61points.

The services sector topped the gainers by adding 0.36%, backed by Batelco which rose by 0.63%.

The banks sector inched up 0.33%, as Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait grew 0.46%.

Trading value increased to BHD 1.44 million, as trading volume soared to 4.62 million shares.

Khaleeji Bank was the most active stock as 1.89 million shares were exchanged, while AUB posted the highest liquidity of BHD 1.07 million.
