Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse (BHB) rose by the end of Tuesday’s trading session, boosted by investment and industry stocks, after declining for four consecutive sessions.
The general index inched up 0.27% or 3.27 points to reach the level of 1,311.82 points, as the investment sector surged 0.84% due to three stocks, with Inovest being the top gainer with 6.4%.
The industrial sector edged up 0.79% as Aluminium Bahrain’s stock rose 0.82%.
The banks sector registered a 0.32% growth, backed by Khaleeji Commercial Bank which surged 3.81%.
On the other hand, the services sector dropped solely by 1.40%, pressured by Bahrain Telecommunications’ which plummeted 3.36%.
Trading volume increased to 2.94 million from 2.04 million in the previous session, while liquidity reached BHD 662,320 compared to BHD 446,310.
By the end of trading on Tuesday, market capitalisation was estimated at BHD 7.9 billion.
