Mubasher: The main index of Bahrain Bourse (BHB) went up 0.66% or 7.51 points week-on-week to reach 1,137.05 points by the week ended 13 October.
The banks sector backed BHB during the week, as AUB and NBB rose 1.57% and 0.71% respectively.
Five stocks of the banks sector acquired 76.75% of the market’s trading value in a week, as AUB’s liquidity accounted for 35.53% of BHB’s total turnover.
The insurance sector topped four gainers during this week with a rise of 2.06%.
BHB’s trading volume shrank to 4.07 million shares this week as compared to 5.95 million in the past week, while turnover grew to BHD 4.07 million from BHD 1.12 million a week earlier.
