Mubasher: The benchmark index of Bahrain Bourse (BHB) edged up 0.9% or 12.02 points to reach 1,353.56 points by the week ended on 23 March, when compared to the previous week.
The banks segment gained 0.9% in line with the 1.24% rise of AUB, endorsing the performance of BHB.
The financial sector rose by 0.12%, on the back of Nass which levelled up 6.78%.
Meanwhile, the investment segment fell by 1.79%, dragged by Al Baraka which lost 6.32% to be the top loser this week.
Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait was the most active stock on which 6.75 million shares were traded at a value of BHD 2.69 million.
The market’s turnover amounted to BHD 5.98 million over this week, after 20 million shares were exchanged.
