Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse witnessed gains in the week ended 9 March 2017, according to a bourse statement.
The general index rose 0.9% or 12.02 points to reach 1,353.56 points.
The industrial sector added 17.89% after Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) went up 18.75%.
The banks sector grew 0.92% as Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KCB) rose 9.71%. The services sector also climbed 0.12% due to an increase in Nass Corporation by 5.36%.
On the flipside, the investment sector fell 1.79% as GFH Financial Group retreated 6.29%.
Alba was the value leader and most active stock after generating BHD 2.43 million from the exchange of 7.61 million shares.
Trading volume reached 25 million shares this week, compared to 23 million shares last week. Turnover amounted to BHD 6.57 million, compared to BHD 4.04 million.
