Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse (BHB) saw a positive performance in February on the back of investment and banks sectors.
The main index gained 3.53% or 45.97 points to reach 1,349.67 points.
Turnover amounted to BHD 18.8 million in February, compared to BHD 25.1 million in January. Trading volume reached 83.7 million shares, compared to 133.75 million shares.
The investment sector increased 5.4% as GFH Financial Group grew 10.7%.
The commercial banks sector added 3.37%, backed by Ahli United Bank (AUB) which rose 7.5%.
The insurance sector climbed 1.77%, generating BHD 50,000 from the exchange of 1,600 shares.
The services sector also levelled up 1.11%, while the industrial sector advanced 4.78%.
On the other hand, the tourism sector fell 2.1% as Gulf Hotels sank 3.2%.
