Bahrain Bourse closes 1.02% higher

Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse ended Sunday’s session rising by 1.02% or 12.25 points to the level of 1,211.07 points.

Trading volume decreased to 1.49 million shares from 1.73 million shares exchanged on Thursday, while turnover increased to BHD 9.88 million from BHD 250,000.

The industrial sector advanced 6.37% as Alba grew 6.67%, the investment sector rose 1.95% as Arab Banking Corporation, top gainer, leapt 8.82%.

The commercial banks sector levelled up 0.29% due to a rise of 3.26% in Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, while Khaleeji Commercial Bank topped losers with a 5.7% fall.

Meanwhile the services sector declined alone by 0.28%, dragged by the drop in Nass and Batelco by 0.88% and 0.71% respectively.
