Bahrain Bourse closes Monday in red

Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse ended Monday’s trading session in the red zone on the back of banks and investment sectors’ stocks.

The main index lost 0.3% or 3.45 points and closed at the level of 1,137.52 points.

Commercial Banks sectors lost 0.53% as Ithmaar led the session’s decliners and dropped 4.54%, it was also the most active in trade volumes with 433,000 shares.

Similarly, the Investment sector slipped 0.18%, as Al Baraka Banking and Bahrain Facilities went down by 1.04% and 0.75% respectively, with the later registering the highest traded value with around BHD 80,100.

Total traded volume increased to 973,560 shares from 752,500 in the last session.

Turnover also grew to BHD 168,480 compared to BHD 116,800 on Sunday.
